CA Services for contract 2020-2121. The work includes:
➢ The replacement of the Highway 400/Innisfil Beach Road Overpass (Site 30X-0210/B1&2) will include the following:
• Staged removal of existing superstructure and substructure
• Construction of substructure for the full future 10-lane Highway 400 cross-section.
• Construction of the superstructure will be limited to the interim 6-lane Highway 400 under this project
• Vertical clearance to Innisfil Beach Road is minimum 5.1 m (based on future 12-lane Highway 400)
• Innisfil Beach Road cross section includes 4 lanes plus speed change lanes and a 3.0m Active Transportation Trail offset 0.3m to the south abutment wall
➢ The replacement of the Highway 400 Barrie/Collingwood Railway Overhead (Site 30X-0209/B1&2) will include the following:
• Staged removal of existing superstructure and substructure
• Construction of substructure for the full future 10-lane Highway 400 cross-section.
• Construction of the superstructure will be limited to the interim 6-lane Highway 400 under this project
• Vertical and horizontal clearances to BCR track in accordance with the Standards Respecting Railway Clearance Guidelines, (Transport Canada, May 14, 1992).
Other improvements include:
- Installation of snowdrift mitigation measures at specific locations within project limits.
- RSS wall construction
- Drainage Improvements including two (2) Stormwater Management ponds and an open median ditch on Hwy 400 with removal of the centre median drainage system.
- Sanitary Sewer installation
- Other drainage items include culvert extensions or replacements.
- Roadside safety improvements including new or relocated signs, new guiderail and EATs.
- Electrical upgrades include temporary traffic signals and lighting with permanent ramp lighting and traffic signals.
Other requirements include:
- The project is being undertaken as a “Group B” Class Environmental Assessment for Provincial Transportation Facilities 2000.
